Nicolaikirche

Heilbronn Germany

Evangelical Lutheran

The church dates from before 1351, becoming Protestant in 1525. It served as an arsenal, military hospital and wood magazinie under Napoleon and was used as a gymnasium and demonstration hall in 1848. The early gothic building was renovated and became again a place of worship in 1851. After an air raid seriously damaged the church in 1944, it was restored to use in 1951.
