Chapel of St Nicholas

Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim Northern Ireland UK

Roman Catholic

The chapel, built in 1826, was extended in 1926. It served the parish until a new church opened in 1981. After sitting unused for seven years, the chapel was transformed into a community centre in 1988. It was once again used for Mass following the burning of the new church in the Troubles. After the church was rebuilt in 2000, the chapel is once again an active centre with activities for all ages.
