Limerick, Co. Limerick Republic of Ireland
[Roman Catholic]
In medieval times a church dedicated to St Nicholas of Myra stood on Main Street between St Mary's Cathedral and St John's Castle. The church disappeared in the 1600s, though the street still bears the name of church. The parish was joined to St Mary's, becoming St. Mary's and St. Nicholas'. It is now known as the Limerick Cathedral of Saint Mary Blessed Virgin belonging to the Church of Ireland.
