The church was built in 1007, then became a priory under the Abbey of Neauphle-le-Vieux. The apse and transept were lost during the Hundred Years War. The bell tower is from the 16th century, the portal from 1875. The church was restored from 1978-93. Once on the edge, it is now in the city center.
