The parish existed in 1113, dedicated to Saint-Nicolas Gentinnes. Later, for a time, the dedication was changed to St. Gertrude, Abbess of Nivelles. The church burned in 1125 in time of war. The present church was built in 1623; the tower added in 1784. The font is from the early 1100s.
