Greek Orthodox

Church Website

The temple was built in the early 4th century by St. Helen, who stopped here to pray on her way to the Holy Land, searching for the Holy Cross. The Chapel of St. Nicholas is the oldest part, and it is likely where she prayed. The complex has three areas, the main temple the Church of a Hundred Doors dedicated to the Virgin, the Chapel of St. Nicholas, and a large Baptistry. It is one of the oldest and best maintained churches in Greece.
