The Gothic presbytery was built in the early 1500s. Over time the church was modified in the Baroque style. The Baroque dome dates from 1774. Major rebuilding took place in 1937 with a new dome, utilizing the original tower clock. The bells were requisitioned for World War II, though one has been found and returned.
