The chapel is northeast of the village, in fields and meadows. It dates from the 11th/12th century. A sacristy and gallery were added in 1763. The chapel was damaged in World War II and renovated in 1958, with further restoration in 1978. Significant renovation in 2014 replaced the ceiling, strengthened the roof trusses, renovated masonry, and repainted the interior. The chapel belongs to the parish of St. Michael, Echtz. It is a listed historical monument.
