St Mary's [& St Nicholas]—Limerick Cathedral

Founded in 1168 the Cathedral is the oldest building in Limerick in daily use today. When nearby St Nicholas Church closed sometime in the 17th centruy, St Mary's became St Mary's and St Nicholas'. Through the centuries, St Nicholas name has been lost and it is now the Cathedral of Saint Mary Blessed Virgin, or familiarly as Limerick Cathedral.
