Church of England (Anglican)
St Nicholas Church, built around 1600 and restored in 1826 and in the late 1800s, had rare stained glass windows that were blown-out in a World War II air raid. Sir Thomas Fleming, one of the lawyers who tried Guy Fawkes, and Lord Hawke, founder of the British Navy, are buried in the churchyard. St Nicolas is the Parish Church of North Stoneham and Bassett, with All Saints, Winchester Road, and St Michael and All Angels, Bassett Avenue.More photos of the church and of the stained glass windows
