The church was dedicted in 1875 to Saint Nicholas, who had been the patron of an earlier chapel in Trarbach. The church was enlarged in 1967 and the interior renovated in 1989. There is a figure of St. Nicholas above the entrance and the rood screen has the figures, including Nicholas, that were on the old high altar.
