Buzhaninovo, Moscow Oblast Russia
Russian Orthodox
The stone church was built in 1831 on the site of two earlier wooden churches from 1543 & 1734. Closed in the 1940s, the bell tower was demolished and the building was used as a warehouse. It was returned to church use, restored and consecrated in 1998. On the patronal feast, December 19, 2000, a relic of St. Nicholas was placed in the church. A new rectory building adjacent is used for Sunday school and other meetings. The bell tower is under restoration.
