Kamianske / Dniprodzerzhynsk Ukraine
Ukrainian Orthodox
The church was built in 1894; the bell tower in 1902; and expansion of side naves and porches from 1911-1913. It was closed in 1929 and used as a museum and the iconography was painted over. The museum was looted; the church operated again until 1960 when it was again closed and housed the Museum of the history of Dniprodzerzhynsk (the former city's name). The museum moved out in 1984 and the church was later transferred back to the church. Some fresco fragments were restored in the 1980s, though most has been freshly repainted as part of a major restoration. It is the cathedral of the Dniprodzerzhynsk Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
