The church dates to 1602, though the Cappuchin monastery is older. The town sold the building to Capuchin Friars in 1536. The church was rebuilt in 1570 and was consecrated and decicated to St. Nicholas in 1602. Again restored in the 20th century, the complex was repopened in 1946.
