Deeping St Nicholas, Lincolnshire England UK
Church of England (Anglican)
Deepinig St Nicholas is a large Fen village strung out five miles along the road between Spalding and Stamford. The church was built in the mid-nineteenth century when the land was sufficiently drained to support building on it. 'Deeping" means a place in deep meadows which is subject to flooding. The introduction of steam pumps resolved the water problem.
