St Nicholas Church

Brandiston, Norfolk England UK

[Church of England (Anglican)]

This low church with its squat tower is from the 14th and 15th centuries, though the chancel arch and south wall date from around 1100. The church was closed in 1971 because lumps of plaster were falling from the ceiling. It was beyond repair as the village was very small and scattered. In 1979 the parish was joined to St Michael and All Angels, Booton, and St Nicholas was made redundant. The Booton Church became redundant in 1987. Both churches are in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust
