Church of St Nicholas Wonderworker

Konstantinovka, Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan Russia

Russian Orthodox

In 1913 villagers petitioned to build a church, as spring floods prevented worship in the parish church in another village. The wooden church was closed in 1941 and used as a granary during the Soviet years. After being hit by lightning in 1956 that destroyed the dome, the building was converted into a school. Since being returned to worship repairs have been carried out, heat installed and a new iconostasis. The parish hopes to build a stone church, as this one is in poor condition.
