Maslovka, Voronezh Oblast Russia
Russian Orthodox
The shrine was originally built at a spring by a peasant in 1867 in honor of St. Nicholas. Each year on May 9th (or 22nd) there was a procession from the church to the chapel. There water was consecrated and prayers offered to Saint Nicholas. A historical reference to this was found in 2004 and the shrine has been reestablished. Pilgrims again worship here.
