The original wooden church was built in the 1400s, along the Izhora river bank. In the 1600s it became a Lutheran church. From 1837-41 a new stone church with bell tower was built in a different location along the river bank. Closed in 1937, it was used as a community center. The priest was shot in 1937. The church was open in 1942 until it was destroyed in 1943.
