Mechanic Antoly Shestakov built the school and church in 1914 for the owner of a silk factory, Alexander Sokolik, to honor the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. The school was on the first and second floors for the children of villagers and factory workers. The church was on the second floor on the east side. The school was used as a military hospital for sick and wounded soldiers in 1915. The church held services until 1920 when the building became a secondary school. Divine services began again in 2001 along with a Sunday school for children up to 7 years old.
