The church, built around 1900, has been moved to the Ethnographic Museum of Transbaikalia in Ulan Ude. The church was in the village of Nikolsk, in the Murkhorshibirskiy region of Buryat. The church was closed in 1930 and used as a warehouse. It was moved to the museum in 1971 and restoration completed in 1977. The iconostas has space for 43 icons; 32 have been replaced. 23 are authentic while the others selected for subject and size; empty places are filled with wood-toned canvas. Two icons were stolen in 1981.
