Timiryazevsky, Moscow City (Northern) Russia
Russian Orthodox
The wooden summer church, without heat, was built in 1916. After the Revolution the church stayed open, but one priest died in exile and two others were shot. Closed in 1935, it was demolished later, making way for a multi-storied building. Rebuilt in 1996 using Fyodor Schechtel's original plans, the church was consecrated in 1997. The new church is winterized and heated, on a stone foundation with a copper clad roof. A full schedule of worship and formation takes place.
