The church was built in the 1920s and consecrated in 1926. The church was closed in 1938 and the liturgical objects confiscated. The Book of the Gospels was later kept in the Novosibirsk museum; the other objects were never recovered. Petition to reopen the church was granted in 1946. In 1955 the floor was replaced and the porch built.
