Uggiano Montefusco, Apulia Italy
Roman Catholic
The chapel, a few blocks from the Mother Church dedicated to the Assumption, was built in the 1600s. The Novena is celebrated on the 8th and 9th of October. The chapel served as the parish church following the earthquake in 1743 when the mother church collapsed. On the feast days, October 8 & 9, young girls visit for the novena in hope of fulfilling their desire to marry the man of their dreams. Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of Uggiano. The chapel is being renovated, inside and out, in 2013.
