The church is in Chagor, a deserted village 20 kilometers from Bitola. The church, built in 1636, belonged to the Čagorje Monastery. The frescoes were painted in the 1630s. Chagor was completely abandoned in 1926. Some of the village descendants have taken the name "Chagorovski" to memorialize the village. Slava is done on Summer St. Nikola and all with the name are encouraged to visit the church and light candles on the graves of their ancestors. The church was being rehabilitated, restored and conserved by the Ministry of Culture in 2014.
