The hilltop, one room stone church dates from the 16th century. The church has been destroyed and rebuilt three times. The church is adjacent to the Cypi family's cemetery. It was first destroyed in the mid 1800s, rebuilt and destroyed by the communists in 1957. The Cypi family rebuilt it and communists used it as a storage depot until it was again destroyed in 1978 when the regime had learned that people still prayed there. It was rebuilt again in 2013 with great assistance from the Cypi family's Muslim neighbors.
