Church Website

The new St. Nicholas church in Kessenich was built at the end of the 1800s, as the population had increased significantly. The new church was consecrated in 1891. The church was simplified in 1929, removing carvings, for example. Other changes were made in 1932 and 1934. World War II damage was quickly repaired. The stained glass windows, installed over the next 30 years, are by Eduard Horst and Otto Lautenbach. The church is a listed building.
