The church was built in the 1300s. The bell tower was added in 1697. From 1699-1728 the church was rebuilt in the Baroque style. The entrance gate was built in 1699 and the St. Nicholas statue erected in 1711. Lightning burned the dome in 1808 and the top floor of the tower. Church bells were melted down in World War I and replaced in 1922. The church is a listed cultural monument. Services are held weekly in the sacristy.
