Kostel sv. Mikuláše

Holešice Czech Republic

[Roman Catholic]

The church was early Gothic with a fortified tower, later modified to late Gothic. It was fortified and surrounded by a moat with access over a bridge with a stone tower. The village was evacuated in 1960 due to mining subsidence. The church's monument status was removed in 1979 and it was demolished in 1981. The church's frescoes were saved and are stored in the Regional Museum (Oblastni muzeum) in Moste.
