The chapel is high above the village in an area with many ruins. In 1997 George Karalis began to build a chapel on the site of an old iconstasis. As they dug, they found the floor and the entire space of the church. So the new church was built on the foundations of the old. It was inaugurated in 2008 by Metropolitan Karpenisiou.
