Oxford (New Marston), Oxfordshire England UK
[Church of England]
The church was built in 1913 as a chapel of ease to St Nicholas, Old Marston. The tower was built in 1937 and the church expanded in 1939. It served the area until the new St Michael and All Angels church was opened nearby in 1965. Made redundant in 1972, the building housed a non-conformist Mission Church for a short time before being used as a factory, reprographics studio, and finally, a storage dumping ground. It fell into a completely dilapidated state. The building was purchased by the Russian Orthodox Parish of St Nicholas the Wonderworker in 2008. Fully rebuilt and renovated, it was consecrated in 2010.
