The parish was founded in 1929 to serve Russian refugees following the Bolshevik revolution. May Russian emigres settled in France. The parish became multi-ethnic during the 1960s, celebrating Divine Liturgy in Slavonic, French and Greek. The present building was purchased in 1987 and converted into a real church. It was renovated in 2013 and the exterior icon of St. Nicholas installed.
