The "Priory" complex of buildings formed a college for the 14th century chantry chapel. It later was the site of a farm. The great hall is the only building remaining from the college and it is a Grade I listed building. The other buildings and gateway are Grade II listed. The National Trust bought the property in 1946. The complex never served as a priory and there was never a monastic house there either.
