St. Nicholas Hermitage

Rattvik Sweden

Metropolis of Sweden (Orthodox)

The hermitage is the first Orthodox seminary in Sweden and all Scandinavia. It was founded by Eusebius Vitti in 1973. After his death in 2010, the monastery was maintained by the Orthodox Brotherhood "Agios Nikolaos." The monastery was completely destroyed by fire in October 2010. A new building was constructed, though not occupied until October 2014, when the Metropolis of Sweden finished the renovation.
