The church is on Vishnyakovsky Lane in the Zamoskvorechye area, Central Administrative District of Moscow. Two churches were on the site from 1490 and 1683 until the beginning of the 19th century. They were dismantled and a new church built in 1805. It was rebuilt in 1847, enlarging the bell tower, and more.
