Church Website

Built in the late 12th century, St Nicholas was restored in 1853, 1958, and the 1980s. The nave arcades are the chief features from the original church. The tower was built in 1520 and the first bells hung in 1731. The south wall of the belfry has this inscription:
To call the folk to church on time, we chime,
When mirth and joy are on the wing, we ring
When we lament a passing soul, we toll

The parish sponsors a St Nicholas Fair in the village hall and a special St Nicholas Service for Longparish School.
