St Nicholas, Addlethorpe, was built between 1360 and 1420. The only two alterations have been the demolishing of the chancel, two-thirds the length of the nave, in 1666, and a new tower roof in 1937. The woodwork is virtually all original, including six carved oak screens. The tower contains a ring of six bells from 1770, restored in 1980. The church belongs to the Skegness Group of parishes.
