After World War II new housing developments sprang up and Farnborough Parish needed a place of worship that would not be cut off by a new by-pass. A dual-purpose pre-fabricated hall to provide for worship and secular needs was dedicated in 1958. Ten years later it was named St Nicholas' Church Hall because many children use it. The dedication was on 8 December, close to St Nicholas' Day. It belongs to the Parish of St Giles the Abbot and St Nicholas.
