St. Nicolas Church is part of the Vale Benefice with Denchworth St. James, Hanney St. James the Great, and Grove St. John the Baptist. Eucharist is said at St. Nicolas every Thursday at 10 am. All that remains from the original 12th century Norman church is the font and some nave masonry. The chancel and chancel arch were rebuilt and the bell-cot and north aisle added in the 1200s. The Gothic south chapel was added in the early 1300s. The whole church was drastically restored in 1858 and it is now a Grade II Listed building.
