Fyfield, Hampshire England UK
Church of England (Anglican)
This little village church from the 13th century once served just a few thatched cottages and three larger ones: the manor, the Grange, and the rectory. An earlier building is listed in the Domesday Book. A 19th century rector, younger brother of naturalist Gilbert White, noted that Fyfield owls hoot in b flat. The World War I Memorial is unusual as it lists those who survived as well as those who perished. The church is part of a benefice of five parishes, with weekly services held at St Nicholas.
