Dundalk, Co. Louth Republic of Ireland
Church of Ireland (Anglican)
The church, known locally as the Green Church, dates back to the early part of the 13th century when it was built at the time of the Norman conquests. In the late 1990s it was completely renovated and restored. Dundalk is close to the Northern Ireland border and the church is committed to peace and reconciliation. It was on Good Friday of 1998 that the historic peace agreement was signed in Ireland. The sense of hope and expectation that was engendered has yet to be fully realised. The church requests all who visit to pray for its full implementation.
