Islip, Oxfordshire England UK
Church of England (Anglican)
The oldest part of the church dates to the end of the 12th century, though there has been a church on this spot since Saxon times. It was rebuilt in the 14th century and the tower added in the 15th. The church was badly damaged in the Civil War during the battle of Islip Bridge, 1645. Major alteration was done in 1861. Five parishes formed a benefice in 1987 and joined three others in 2001, making the Ray Valley Benefice with a single rector.
