Vollenhove Netherlands
Protestantse Kerk in Nederland (Reformed)
Vollenhove was a former fishing town, on the Zuider Zee, which is now reclaimed land. The 14th century church is unusual, as it has two equal naves and a separate tower. After the Reformation the altar was pulled down and the stones used as grave markers. Remainders of frescos were uncovered during restoration in the 1970s.
