The original St Nicholas Church in Mykilske was built in 1911. It was almost completely destroyed after the 1917 October Revolution and used as a granary. The St. Nicholas Monastery for women and the St. Basil's Monastery for men are united and they were rebuilt in 1998 - 2000. The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was built in1910. It is on the other side of the village, but belongs to the monastery. It was closed during the Soviet era and used as a warehouse, workshops, and a slaughterhouse. It was restored in 2003 and holds regular services.
