Chapel St. Nicholas

Asenovgrad Bulgaria

The chapel was built in the late 1800s on the foundations of an earlier church from the early 1600s. The area in front of the church served as a customs house. A skete for monks was founded here with a shelter for deaf and mute monks and the small church served local residents as a prayer house. The chapel was restored in 1995 by a group of young people. It now belongs to the St. George - Metoshki parish.
