Asenovgrad BulgariaThe chapel was built in the late 1800s on the foundations of an earlier church from the early 1600s. The area in front of the church served as a customs house. A skete for monks was founded here with a shelter for deaf and mute monks and the small church served local residents as a prayer house. The chapel was restored in 1995 by a group of young people. It now belongs to the St. George - Metoshki parish.
