Roman Catholic

The ancient church is first mentioned in 1159. It was enlarged in the 1200s and again in the 1400s. It was threatened with suspension in 1530 when found in bad condition and being used as a warehouse and for grinding grain. The roof was rebuilt by 1532 and the tower raised in the 1700s. After belonging to several parishes, the church has been part of Santa Maria Assunta di Castello since 1797.
