Orsogna, Abruzzo Italy
Roman Catholic
The church was built around 1776, though recently rebuilt. Construction was difficult due to a lack of funds. It was partially finished in 1810, though the tower was unfinished. The 1861 earthquake destroyed the tower and left cracks in the walls. The tower was rebuilt in the early 1900s. Nearly destroyed in World War II, the church was rebuilt in the 1950s with a rich Baroque interior. Restoration was completed in 2017.
