Russkoye Nikolskoye, Republic of Tatarstan Russia
Russian Orthodox
The church was built between 1843 and 1848. The bell tower was lost in Soviet times. The church was returned to the community in the 1990s when the traditional holiday, the local Russian folk festival, Karavon, was revived. The festival, originating in the 1600s, is three days celebrating the Translation of St. Nicholas Relics. The bell tower has been rebuilt and the church restored.
