Church of St. Nicholas

Garbuziv Ukraine

Greek Catholic (Byzantine)

The village had a wooden church since ancient times. Parishioners began building a new one between the world wars, but during World War II and the Soviet era, work stopped. The church wasn't closed in that time, but worship was banned. Work on the new church began again in 1989. Iconography was written in 1991 and an iconostasis installed in 1993. The church was consecrated in 2007.
