Church of St. Nicholas & Mary Magdalene

Dziekanowice Poland

Roman Catholic

The church was built in the early 1200s; it was expanded in the 1640s with the original nave forming the new chancel and the former chancel into a sacristy. The church was extended again in 1790. A porch was added in the early 1900s. Following a new church becoming home to the parishioners, this one was in danger of destruction. A group was formed in 2006 to save the church with financial support coming from the province and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage., thus conserving the roof tower, and wall, plus replacing the floor.
